The car was produced between 2004 and 2010, when it was replaced by the 508, so second hand Peugeot 407s are the only ones available, and it’s possible to get some great deals on them. It’s something of rarity these days in that it’s a family saloon, and it carries its role off well, with plenty of luggage space and lots of legroom. And every model has at least seven airbags, with the models higher in the range having even more. The engine is available in a range of diesels from 1.6 up to a 3.0 V6. The petrol engines are 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 and 3.0 V6, and some come with the Bio Flex systems that lets you fill up with either biofuel or normal unleaded. Peugeot also produced an estate version of the model called the 407 SW, and there’s also a 2-door coupé version for a sportier look.
